The World According to Me!

The State of Education and our Youth. Inglewood Unified School District is in trouble. (article) Apparently laying off approximately 50-60% of the teachers in the district is acceptable! How will the students of Inglewood be able to compete on a higher level when they don’t have teachers to teach? Everyone rails against the charter school movement, but how about we take some time to look at why parents are opting out of Inglewood Unified School District and looking for private schools, permits, and charters? Could it be that we all want the best opportunity for our children? When they apply for college they wont get any brownie points for staying in their home districts.

It just pisses me off that there aren’t enough viable options to have every student receive an equal public school education regardless of their zip code.
